1 Star - Bingeman's campground not properly looked after

Campground review from Isabell of Hagersville August 16 to 19 2012 I am very disgusted with this campground. The showers are mildew and filthy. So glad we had our motor home and full hook up.I had read the review the night before and the next morning called to ask if the washromms were dirty and was told that they didn't think so. You guessed it. I checked as soon as I got there and was horrified at the mess. We were not allowed to come in until 2 o'clock and had to be out by 12. Why? They don't clean the camp sites at all. We had beer caps, Cigarette butts and even dog doo. There are no speed limit signs posted at all. I could go on and on. I would not recommend Bingeman's camp ground to any one. Terrible mess.

1 Star - Disgusting!

The best words to describe the bathrooms is mold and sewage. Two toilets were broken and a third rocked on the floor as sewage came up around the bottom. I was so grateful I was in an RV and didn't need the facilities because I wouldn't recommend washing your hands at the scummy sinks. Do health inspectors check campgrounds? We were there mid-week in June so crowding and noise were not an issue but the grounds are not well kept at all - certainly not what I expected from the ads. A lonely slide is not much of a playground. I can't really comment on the water park but this is definitely one campground I wouldn't recommend to an enemy.

2.5 Star - Terrible stay

washrooms are very discusting. you can't shower or sit in toilets as they are so brutal.I am from east coast canada so I dont mind some dirt but these were so terrible. We also were told we could not use some of the fields to play bocce ball. Some of the waterslides were not open. They dont have a weekend pass. They charge you a ridiculas price every day and half the stuff is not even in use. The campsites up near entrance are very tight together. no room for anything. people behind us had there tents attached to ours. overall terrible expierence.

1.5 Star - stayed July 29-Aug 7 2011

Overall, view of the park not bad at first. My husband choose to us the facilities at the registration building which had backed up (sewage) on the floor. Mold in the shower stalls. On the Aug weekend, the park was full. The garbage containers were full, so when they all left on Mon. the garbage was not picked up from the sites until Thursday. With the animals and weather garbage was everywhere. The web site also states there is a play ground. One old slide does not a play ground make! They have a camper pool but the washroom is two parking lots away. Not easy with a toddler who has to go! Camping was very tight sites, kind of like row housing and just about as expensive. Then there was the extra cost of the water park $81.65 for 1 adult and 2 children. I would not refer anyone to this park.

1 Star - CAMPGROUND IS TERRIBLE

ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING!! Washrooms are filthy. I refused to use them. The sites have no boundaries and are extremely small. No room for kids to play and others just walk thru all sites. No playgrounds for kids, overflowing dumpsters, rules are not enforced, music very loud, cars parked all over. Will never go back to this campground and would NOT recommend it to anyone else.

1 Star - Bingemans Definitely No Recommended for Camping

Easily the Dirtiest, most Rundown Campground we have ever been to. Trip hazards and uneven cement/ground Everywhere. A Resort is it Not. Not a safe place for young children Zero security or Staff in campground. No Security at Entrances so Anyone can come and go at will at Any time. Bathrooms were Unusable and Filthy at times. Garbage Everywhere. I seen used toilet paper, condoms in the woods,I kid you not. Yurt was clean(Still new)however No lights, No Curtains and Unchanged disposable mattress covers Funzone staff were Friendly. Rocks and Ropes staff were Excellent. Lifeguard Staff was Excellent and On The Ball ( Very Serious and Watchful),and I'm not easily impressed. Water park and mini golf was fun. Overall rating 1 Star, Will Not Recommend this to Anyone.

2 Star - Disappointing

Overall, I was disappointed with Bingemans. First, the campsites are VERY close together. They really cram everyone in! There is no privacy - you can hear conversations happening in the tents of your neighbors. Children have no space to run around before entering the adjoining campsite. Second, the bathrooms were a total disgrace. Dirty, running out of hot water, inoperable toilets...For the price you are paying, this was unacceptable. Although I didn't let these 2 things ruin my weekend, I will likely not return.
