PRIVACY STATEMENT
campsource.ca is committed to protecting the personal privacy of our
visitors and does not collect personal information without your prior
knowledge.
Website Tracking & Statistics
CampSource uses IP addresses to analyze
trends, administer the site, track user’s movement, and gather broad demographic
information for aggregate use. IP
addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information.
Advertising and Vendors
We use third-party advertising companies to serve ads when you visit our website. These companies may use
information (not including your name, address, email address, or telephone number) about your visits to
this and other websites in order to provide advertisements about goods and services of interest to you.
If you would like more information about this practice and to know your choices about not having this
information used by these companies, click here.
- Google, as a third party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on your site.
- Google's use of the DART cookie enables it and its partners to serve ads to your users based on their visit to your sites and/or other sites on the Internet.
- Users may opt out of the use of the DART cookie by visiting the Google ad and content network privacy policy.
Information Provided to Third Parties
CampSource does not
sell it's mailing lists or any other personal information to third
parties, however, we reserve the
right to provide aggregate statistics about our customers, sales,
traffic patterns and related site information to reputable
third-party vendors, but these statistics will include no personally
identifiable information.
Cookies
A cookie is a piece of data stored on the user’s hard drive
containing information about the user. Usage of a cookie is in no way linked to any personally
identifiable information while on our site. Once the user closes their browser, the cookie simply terminates. For instance, by setting a cookie on our site, the user would not
have to log in a password more than once, thereby saving time while on our
site. If a user rejects the
cookie, they may still use our site. The only drawback to this is that the user will be limited in some
areas of our site. For
example, the user will not be able to use any of the search engines used
to locate a campground. Cookies can also enable us to track and target the
interests of our users to enhance the experience on our site.
Use of Your Email Address
We may occasionally send you email updates about new additions and/or
features on our website.
If you receive such an email, and wish to be removed from a mailing list,
just follow the instructions contained in the email.
Posting Messages in Discussion Forums or Blogs
It is
important for you to remain aware that when you provide personal
information (e.g., last name, address, phone number) in a posting on any
message board, that information is available to any other person or user
having access and use of that message board, and may be used by someone in
a manner unintended by you. For that reason, we discourage you from
offering any personally identifying information as within a posting to any
message board.
Posting Campground and Site Reviews
We believe that you, the camper, can provide subjective
information on a particular campground whereas CampSource can provide only
fact. When posting a campground or site review, you can optionally
enter your email address so that other campers can communicate
with you should they require additional information or
clarification. However, as stated previously, this
field is optional. Should you decide to enter your email
address in the optional field, CampSource cannot and will not be
responsible for emails sent to you by other visitors to our site.
See the previous paragraph on Posting Messages in Discussion Forums and
Blogs.
