| 2 Star - not my kinda camping |
|
We recently stayed here as a small group. Which they were easy to accomidate the group together. service was friendly. But needed details on each member of our group in advance regardless of the fact the reservation was booked inder one name.
Checkin was friendly and fast, and showers are free to campers. However, we had a campground next to a busy highway that was quite loud. not very private in the full service sites and require trailers to create and environment of privacy. Grounds are quite clean and patrons were quiet and curtious.
However, i am a tenter and love my tent. We surround ourself with large tarps to protect from the rain, and were told that the tarps were not allowed due to town policy. This was provided of course in the small print, and if i would of known the upon booking, we definitely would have found alternative arrangements. as we had small children with us, sitting in the rain or in our tents was not really an option. Also, the park that was nearby is actually on the other side of the highway. nearby. ..yes. ...but our group did not feel comfortable having the kids crossing the busy highway. The older kids were frustrated by the lack of accessibilty.
I would not return to this site, as the noise, accesses to the park and rules restricting the use of tarps took all the fun out of camping for our group. We made the best of it, but next time we will be camping elsewhere. |
