| 4 Star - Would return |
We stayed in a yurt for two nights in the middle of winter. Privacy was rather poor (contrary to what was promised), but the park was fairly empty so we had no neighbours and it was all good. I personally loved the beach (I guess it can still be called a beach when it's winter, right?). Lake Huron was frozen so we were able to walk out very far onto the ice. A word of caution: not all park roads are plowed in the winter so you may not be able to access some trail starting points with your car. If you want to stay in a yurt, I'd try to pick a site and a date range where you won't have any people on either side of you. That's the unfortunate truth about that but overall I had a good time and I'll be returning soon. |

| 5 Star - Lovely park - we've booked again in August |
My husband, 3 year old son and I stayed at MacGregor Point for two nights in mid-July. The site was large and clean, but too close to the showers/bathrooms. This was my own fault, as I left reserving a site until the last minute. The smell from the bathrooms was pretty noxious at times, until the wind changed directions. Our site was in the 'Huron' campground, which I did not choose for our next visit to MacGregor Point (booked for mid-August) because it is a little far from the activities we are interested in. Those activities revolve around our 3 year old, who loved this park. The beach is perfect for him--he really enjoyed wading out into the lake, and the big playground near the beach was a hit as well. He also really enjoyed walking the Huron Fringe Trail, which is a boardwalk for the entire length of the trail--perfect for little ones.
