Helios is located a short distance between Edmonton and Tofield, Alberta just off highway 14. A serene environment with recently renovated pool and hot tub. Helios is a landed club and as such, is situated on thirty acres of rolling land. Many members have year round campsites others simply come out for the day. There is a clubhouse in which many activities are held. These include dances, darts, potluck dinners, barbecues etc. As well there is a nature trail that is great just to get out and stretch your legs. You are always welcome to visit with others at the sunning area at the pool or just stop and chat with people at their camp site. We also have a shower house, large hot tub and a large inground heated swimming pool, along with a childrens playground, sand volleyball court and community fire pit.

First timers to nude recreation and to Helios are generally given a short orientation and guided tour of the grounds to begin their initial visit. Afterwards, visitors and guests are free to enjoy the remainder of their first day at Helios as they wish. Though the policy is officially "nude when possible, clothed when practical", body acceptance and social nudity are customary and traditional at Helios. Its members support the club as their clothes free sanctuary, and especially on a warm, sunny day, naturally assume that visitors and guests come to participate rather than to gawk.

You are allowed three visits to Helios, daily grounds fee apply. After your three allowable visits, we hope that you become a part of Helios by selecting the type of membership that best suites your needs.

Overnighting and Camping

Many members and guests find that overnighting at Helios provides more than just a convenient extension of a relaxing day visit. Waking up to a peaceful Helios morning feels refreshing and the warm rising sun seems to melt away yesterday's burdens and vaporize tomorrow's concerns. Depending upon one's comfort/budget/privacy , there are many modes of sleeping over to enjoy a more complete getaway.

Bring your own and choose an available/unreserved tent site.

RV/Camper/Van

Level parking for small-to-medium self-contained vehicles only. Owners of large RV's should call ahead about accessibility. Electrical hook-ups (at $5/night) are available on a first-come/first-serve basis.

Rental Trailer available on a first come first served basis, fully equipped including bedding, dishes, fridge, stove, small appliances, microwave, BBQ, firepit, loungers, TV, radio, power & water (sleeps 4) - rates based on 1-2 adults - $45/night.

Weekly and monthly rates for all of the above are available.

"What to Bring" Ideas

Recommended footwear:
Sandals or runners for most surfaces.
Runners for hiking the nature trail slopes.
Towels. (A seating courtesy for personal hygiene.)
Sunscreen, hat, sunshades, etc. (Shade is available.)
Casual wear. (Evenings are sometimes cool.)
Flashlight, if you plan to stay past sunset.

Membership Fees:

All of our membership rates are based per year, starting from May 01 through April 30 of the following year. All rates are pro-rated so joining in mid season reduces the total membership cost. The cost of a full membership is cheaper than a weeks vacation and therefore makes it very affordable to join. At Helios, feel free to bring your children at no extra cost.

Helios is affiliated with the Federation of Canadian Naturists and the American Association for Nude Recreation (AANR).

All Helios members are required to hold an AANR membership.

Cost is $74.50/couple and $41/single.
