Welcome to Athabasca Sand Dunes Provincial Park
Ecologically fragile area characterized by sand dunes, pebble covered surfaces, sand blasted structures, many rare plant species, and evidence of native Indian use dating back 7000 - 8000 years. Most northerly sand dune formation in the world; dunes as high as 30 m. Check with conservation officer prior to entering the area. No services in park. No user fee.
