Welcome to Wadin Bay Resort

Wadin Bay boasts two of the three road accessible sand beaches on the lake. Sheltered from prevailing summer winds, the gently sloped bottoms hold warmer water, making these beaches perfect spots for picnics, swimming, water sports, or just catching a few rays. On chilly days and evenings, you can take a dip in our covered, heated swimming pool. Fishing on Lac La Ronge offers a variety of challenging adventures. The major game species are lake trout, northern pike, and walleye. Hungry perch provide hours of entertainment for young anglers. Fly fishing enthusiasts can enjoy testing the waters of several stocked trout lakes, all within a 45-minute drive of the Resort. Guides are available by prior arrangement. We recommend the use of a guide, especially to get you to the best fishing spots. Hydrographic charts are available to aid navigation as you get oriented to the lake and its subsurface structures. Sightseeing opportunities abound in our area. Tours of Lac La Ronge can be arranged. Local operators offer air charters for a bird's eye view. A 30-mile drive takes you to Stanley Mission, the site of the oldest church in Saskatchewan. Water taxis at Stanley Mission can take you to tour the church, view Indian rock paintings, and take in the spectacular beauty of Nistowiak Falls, the highest waterfall in the province. Thirty-five miles north of the Resort, the waters of the Churchill River system boil through a narrow gorge at Otter Rapids on the historic route of the voyagers. A different vista awaits you at the Nipekamew Sand Cliffs, formed out of the silica sand deposits in the glacial till at the south end of Lac La Ronge. Nature lovers will revel in the wilderness adventures available at your doorstep. View bald eagle nesting sites, pelican colonies, herons, ospreys, and a host of other bird and animal species. Rare native plants and berries are among the treasures to be found on a short hike. Outcrops of the Precambrian Shield, some of the oldest rocks on earth, reveal the rich geological makeup of the area. Golfing is another option, so bring the clubs along. A 15-minute drive from the Resort puts you on the first tee of a challenging 9-hole golf course with grass greens.
